Why subscribe?
The Latin American Review of Books is an independent publication assessing the finest writing about and from Latin America. We relish exciting, original titles and ideas produced through brave and imaginative scholarship. We publish book reviews, podcasts, and occasional commentaries, which can also be accessed on our website (www.latamrob.com).
We always strive to provide free content to our readers, and our reviews and articles are posted with open access for a limited period. However, we depend on the goodwill of generous followers who take out paid subscriptions in order to support our work. Therefore, after a few days of being freely accessible, each post and our extensive archive of hundreds of past reviews can only be read through a paid subscription. This is exceptionally good value at only $5 per month, the lowest we are permitted to set it at by this platform. It helps us maintain this initiative and is the only way we can survive. We are grateful to all our subscribers whom we cherish as real partners in our endeavour to inform readers about the finest writing, scholarship and ideas about Latin America today. We could not keep going without you. Thank you!
If we have written about your book or project—it is not the final word! A review is only one step in the dissemination of your ideas and work. There are many ways we can continue to collaborate. We are happy to hear back from authors about responses to their books, seminars associated with them, and ongoing or future research. We also interview writers and commentators for our podcast series. If you would like to be interviewed, why not contact us? Consider us a forum for your ideas able to showcase your original work and insights.
If you have titles that you would like us to review, or if you wish to collaborate in any other way, you can contact us by email at:
